Yesterday, the River Watch team went to Fall Kickoff. While there, they went canoeing, participated in a number of activities, and received the Forum Assignment. This year's focus is outdoor recreation.

On Wednesday, the River Watch team spent the day sampling. They found a lot of macroinvertebrates, which shows that the Wild Rice River has excellent water quality.

We hope to see you there!

ECFE Wednesday Evening Classes Information

Chromebooks for 7th thru 12th grade students will be handed out on Wednesday eve. This year the Accidental Insurance protection is $20.00. This can be cash or check made out to Norman County East School. Please remember, this is for accidental damage. If you damage a laptop, but then allow that damage to get to the point that the entire laptop is ruined, you are NOT COVERED and would have to pay for full replacement cost. That is considered intentional damage. Bring it to me to be replaced at the first sign of an issue. Minor wear and tear is not charged against you. Thankyou. Dan

The new calculators are here! Thanks again to United Valley Bank and Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union for sponsoring our classroom calculators.

We made it home safe and sound (and tired) around 4:45 this morning. We packed a lot into our last day including Mount Vernon, MLK and FDR memorials, Ford's Theater, The National Archives, Smithsonian Museum of National History and some fun along the National Mall. Xavier won the mic drop award and Sarah won the future CEO award. Our NCE community was represented very well by our kids, (and parents/family) we should all be proud! 💙💛🖤 A huge thanks to World Classrooms for an exceptional experience for our kids!

On day 3 we explored Gettysburg, had some award winning pizza, visited Memorials and the kids ended the night with a ghost tour in Old Town Alexandria and ice cream back in National Harbor. On to day 4!

Day 2 included visits to Arlington National Cemetery, The White House, The Holocaust Memorial Museum, The Lincoln Memorial, a scavenger hunt for the kids, a little rain and some good food. Today we are on our way to Gettysburg.
