6th graders had a goal to finish 10 chapter books this school year. The reward was an invitation to the glow party. Face painting, ping pong, music and dancing, a great way to end the school year!

We are celebrating our NCE students who volunteered and gave back to the community! Students engaging in volunteering activities not only make a positive impact on others but also foster personal growth and empathy. We were able to beautify 26-30 locations within the Gary, Twin Valley, and Flom towns. We also want to thank the Twin Valley Community Club for the donations and lunch.

For the Adirondack Chairs
" We built these chairs in the Woods 1 class and used the CNC machine to create a template for the back of the chair to mimic the outline of our state of Minnesota. Each student built their chair and finished it as well. Excellent work at NCE!"
State Cutting Boards
"The Engineering Essentials group made a background of the outline of Minnesota and created cutting boards and wall art with them. This exercise assisted with creating an environment where the younger students can begin building familiarity with the shop itself, tools, and safety procedures when working."
Misc Projects
"Several students this year asked to build or re-build specialty projects in the shop, and this was amazing to witness. With care and forethought, they could be creative and learn simultaneously, performing practical repairs and project adjustments."
Students learned in a hands-on way how to safely and correctly use the following:
Table Saw/Table Router/CNC Machines/Spindle Sanders/Bandsaws/Drills/Compound /Miter Saws/Wood Clamps/Cordless Drills/Sawzalls/Multi-tools/Skilsaw/Saws/Paint and Stain Room.
